I am an OTR driver and never in one place for very long. When I decided to sell my home in Lake Tansi, TN. I interviewed 9 local real estate agents prior to making my decision. I can tell you hands down Barbara came out on top. I had to leave the area in 2 weeks time and depended heavily on Barbara and her knowledge of the local market and area. The house was listed and on the market the day after I met with Barbara. I was on the road during the majority of the negotiation process. I have to tell you that Barbara's expertise and knowledge exceeded my expectations, her ability to communicate and negotiate my transaction was spot on. Cannot say enough good things about Barbara Ely, who was so helpful throughout a process that included difficulties with the seller at several junctures. She always responded immediately to my phone calls and e-mails, a reason I chose her as my agent in the first place (since others I contacted re: the same property failed to respond to my inquiries). She was 100% "my" Realtor, putting my interests and concerns first - from first showing through closing. I usually am reluctant to recommend anyone for anything (what can I say... We asked our friends who the best broker in the area was and whom they would recommend. Barbara Ely's name kept coming up. We interviewed several brokers. Barbara's enthusiasm for the house convinced us to use her services. She asked us why we loved the house and used that input in her ads. These were placed in several "homes and land" magazines. Barbara showed great knowledge of the process and worked hard for us. She has a Facebook account linked to the house. She has had professional photography done of the house. She listed the house on social media and revised the price slightly to keep the house near the top. She gives us notice so that we have time to prep the house and grounds. She advised us on problems to make the showing as good as possible. She Sold the house and we made our move.
